'Yakut Medical Journal' (the journal) is a scientific and practical printed periodical in Russian. As the mass media, the magazine carries out its activity in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation “On Mass Media” and the Charter of “Yakut Scientific Center of complex medical problems”.

'Yakut Medical Journal' is a professional publication for medical science and education specialists, health care institutions of practical public health, sanitary-epidemiological and pharmaceutical services, and medical students.

The main purpose of the journal is the presentation of the Russian and international scientific community of scientific and practical problems of the Arctic (north) medicine on an example ofn the region of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia).

Scientific directions of the journal:  medical and biological sciences.

The journal publishes  results of basic and applied researches on topical issues of the Arctic (north) medicine.

In the journal clinicians and experts will find authentic information about peculiarities of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases and health organization in the Arctic conditions, as well as lectures and reviews, publications about interesting case studies, practical recommendations.

The journal discusses biological and medical problems of the regional pathology of Yakutia in integration with the global scientific community.

Active authors of publications in the journal are researchers, scientists and practitioners from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Blagoveshchensk, Tartu, Baku, etc.

The Yakut Scientific Center of complex medical problems as the founder of the journal  has established close scientific collaboration with leading academic institutions in Russia and abroad, such as research institutes and scientific centers of the RAS in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Ufa and Brain Research Institute of the University of Niigata (Japan), Estonian Biocenter (Tartu), and et al.

The Editorial Board is constantly working to increase informativeness, attractiveness and accessibility of the publication and is interested in expanding geographic diversity of authors and users of the journal.

'Yakut Medical Journal' is a peer reviewed publication. Staff reviewers, in part of which there are the scientists and experts of biomedical universities of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia), research institutes and scientific centers of the RAS, assesses the level and quality of articles.

By decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC), Ministry of Education of Russia “Yakut Medical Journal” is included in the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications, in which basic scientific results of dissertations for the degree of doctor and candidate of science in biological sciences and medicine should be published, as well as it is also included in the international reference system "Ulrich's International Periodic Directory" and in the international citation database "Web of Science".
